Buffett began his own investment partnership in 1956 with seven limited partners, which included family and friends. He made his first investment in Sanborn Map Company, which would prove to be a profitable one. Over the next few years, his partnership would grow to include more investors and larger investments.
In 1962, Buffett began acquiring shares in a textile company called Berkshire Hathaway. He eventually took control of the company and began using it as a holding company for his other investments. He continued to grow his wealth through shrewd investments in companies like American Express, Coca-Cola, and Geico.
Over the years, Buffett's investment track record has been nothing short of remarkable. He has consistently outperformed the market by a wide margin and has become one of the wealthiest people in the world.
